Makhani Base (Butter Curry)

Our Makhani Curry Base is a rich, creamy, and buttery sauce, made with a blend of tomatoes, butter, cream, and aromatic spices. It delivers the smooth and velvety texture that defines classic Indian dishes like Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani) and Paneer Makhani.

Perfect for quick and effortless home-cooked meals, this base provides an authentic restaurant-style experience in minutes. Made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, it contains no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.

  • 1 cup Tomato Puree
  • ½ cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Sunflower Oil
  • 2 tbsp Cashew Nuts (contains allergens)
  • 1 tbsp Melon Seeds
  • 1 small Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Garlic (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Desiccated Coconut
  • Salt (to taste)
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Kasuri Methi (Dry Fenugreek Leaves)
  • 1 tsp Mix Spices (garam masala, cumin, coriander, etc.)
  •  
  1. Soak cashew nuts and melon seeds in warm water for 10 minutes, then blend into a smooth paste.
  2. Heat a pan and add sunflower oil.
  3. Sauté chopped onion and garlic until golden brown.
  4. Add desiccated coconut, stirring for a minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the tomato puree, then add salt, red chilli powder, sugar, and mix spices. Cook until the oil separates.
  6. Stir in the cashew-melon seed paste and water, letting it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Crush kasuri methi between your palms and mix it in.
  8. Simmer until the curry reaches a creamy consistency.
  9. Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice for a rich and flavorful meal.
